This was our first proper release back in March. It’s a joy.ĬSW most recent single the brilliant Summer Breeze / I’ll be your witness – Witness in particular is the song I have been recommending as a starting point to anybody new to the band, could you tell me a bit more about the song and what it is about I write the songs and bring them to Carrie and Selina. Both Carrie and Selina are brilliant women and I hope they get the chance to share their stories. The bond between us is like nothing I’ve experienced in a band before. Thank you, we enjoy playing together and I’m happy that shows. We got together for the first time 6 months later in drummer Selina’s house in Prestwich, 24th January 2018 the same day Mark E Smith died.įor a relatively new band there looks to be a proper chemistry watching you play live – a real less is more sound ,is it the same process when writing new songs the three of you playing together ? After the show I told them that their band was good and the only thing they needed to be really good was me! I thought they were top, very raw but absolutely honest. I saw them play when they opened for my last band The G-O-D at The Dublin Castle the night before we opened for the Stone Roses at Wembley Stadium.

Fleetwood Mac would’ve been quite jealous of this one in their heyday, don’t you think? Future Perfect, Present Tense arrives on March 8 via Some Kind Of Love/ PIAS, followed by an extended tour to which you’ll find the dates below this loveable tune.Cold Water Swimmers are one of the best & most exciting artists at the forefront of Manchester’s current music scene and activity that is bubbling away that promises to enrich the already supreme fabric of the music historyĪhead of their appearance at this year’s Shiiine on weekender we spoke to the songwriter and frontman Chris Bridgett – who was also a one time member of one of Manchester’s great bands Dub Sex & latterly The G.O.D.Ĭan you introduce us to the band members & tell us how CWS came about as a band ?Ĭarrie and Selina played as a duo. It’s all in here – the nostalgic reflection, a warm musical hug and these laidback hooks that make the sound of the five-piece so tempting. It’s wistful, but upbeat and playful, lamenting the passing of time, but embracing change and growing older, reinvigorated for the future and all that’s yet to come.’ It was influenced by the dark pop of The Cure, and the directness of R.E.M.

As the days were growing shorter, and summer was turning to autumn, we locked ourselves away at home writing songs intensively. Just before we left for Oslo, we finished writing this song in London. ‘We recorded the album in Oslo, Norway, in the depths of winter. It feels like a much needed summer breeze during these cold winter days and according to Ten Fé that also has to do with the way the forthcoming full-length as recorded as they explain:

It’s chilled and laid back, full of that thoughtful vibe we’ve come to love from the band. Future Perfect, Present Tense is the name of the album and after already giving us a few tracks from it over the past month NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION is happy to exclusively debut another teaser in the form of Here Again. Their first full-length Hit The Light was one of our favourite debut albums of 2017 and we have no doubt that the follow-up will write a great next chapter in that story. The success story of British band Ten Fé is one of those we enjoyed the most over the past years.
